1. About Us
Collect My Item provides collection and delivery services for furniture and household items within London, Greater London, and surrounding counties.
By booking a service through our website, you agree to these Terms and Conditions.
2. Booking Information
Customers must provide accurate information when placing a booking, including:
- Collection address
- Delivery address
- Item description
- Number of items
- Access conditions (stairs, lifts, parking)
Quotes are calculated based on the information provided. Incorrect information may result in additional charges.
3. Item Descriptions
The price provided is based on the items listed in the booking form.
If additional items are present or items are larger or heavier than described, Collect My Item reserves the right to:
- Adjust the price
- Refuse the job
- Reschedule the service
4. Access and Parking
Customers must ensure safe and reasonable access to the property.
Any additional costs such as:
- Parking fees
- Congestion charge
- ULEZ charge
- Parking tickets caused by lack of access
may be charged to the customer.
5. Helpers and Heavy Items
Driver assistance is included for normal loads.
Additional helpers may be required for:
- Heavy furniture
- Multiple items
- Difficult access (stairs, narrow hallways)
If additional help is required but not booked, the job may be rescheduled or incur extra charges.
6. Waiting Time
Drivers may wait up to 15 minutes at collection and delivery locations. Additional waiting time may result in extra charges.
7. Damage and Liability
Collect My Item will take reasonable care when transporting items. However:
- We are not responsible for pre-existing damage.
- We are not responsible for poorly packaged fragile items.
Maximum liability is limited to £200 per booking unless otherwise agreed.
Fragile items such as mirrors, glass furniture, antiques, and electronics are transported at the customer’s risk unless properly packed.
8. Cancellations
Bookings may be cancelled free of charge up to 24 hours before the scheduled collection time.
Cancellations within 24 hours may incur a cancellation fee.
If the driver arrives and the job cannot proceed due to incorrect information or lack of access, a call-out fee may apply.
9. Payment
Payment must be made through the website before the service is carried out unless otherwise agreed.
Collect My Item reserves the right to cancel bookings where payment has not been completed.
10. Prohibited Items
We do not transport:
- Illegal goods
- Hazardous materials
- Flammable substances
- Stolen property
Customers confirm they have the legal right to transport the items.
11. Delays
While we aim to provide reliable collection times, delays may occur due to:
- Traffic conditions
- Weather
- Vehicle issues
- Circumstances beyond our control

By placing a booking through the website, you confirm that you have read and agreed to these Terms & Conditions.
